I was thinking, the Architect said Neo would have to make a choice: save Trinity or save humanity. He goes to save Trinity, and he does it, but then at the end of Revolutions, he leaves Trinity to die in the machine city to fight Smith in the Matrix and save humanity. In the end, he chose to let Trinity die.
