I'm guessing most people didn't pay attention to it, only saw that white men are portrayed as bad and black people portrayed as good, and immediately formed an opinion. Honestly I don't know how you can form an opinion on a movie without seeing it, since any movie can overturn the message it seems to have from trailers/plot synopsis.
