Before the Devil Knows You're Dead is good, but I would rather watch any of the earlier Lumet work which is all absolute kino (Fail-Safe, The Hill, 12 Angry Men, Network, The Verdict)

There are some key pieces of dialogue and subtle touches that provide a big hint. First, her son talks about his surname which angers the mother, and her first substantial outburst against the man is when he's talking about being there for his family after the cafe scene where they begin to pretend as though they're married. She also takes him somewhere famous for its weddings and a significant amount of time is devoted to the theme. They're having an affair and she wants him to leave his wife to be with her and her son, which is his biological son as hinted at earlier. The ending location is likely the first place they had sex and he's contemplating whether he should actually leave his wife or not.

Tom Ford made another movie??

Everything Must Go was an amazing film. Came out like 5 or 6 years ago. Stars Will Ferral, but in a serious role. Reminded me of Punch Drunk Love in that a comedian surprised me with good acting in a dark comedy. Worth a watch on Netflix
