Remember Jessie came back to Walt in episode four asking him to cook again. Walt was initially reluctant.
True Walt fucked up by letting die but in season 3 he saved Jessie's life which fucked up his standing with Gus and Mike. Gus was going to kill Walt ( and hank) it was only a matter of when.

Jessie out his parents through a lot of shit with his drug use. I think his dad could have been more open and rncouraging after he got out of rehab in season 3 but that doesn't excuse any of Jessie's actions, like trying to fucking sell meth and dangling it In front of recovering addicts faces.
