I don't know about my favorite, but I'm getting *real* tired of shows portraying hackers and computer specialists as 100% female.

I don't know the technical term for this, but when you have a close-up/medium shot during an action scene that pans gracefully into a massive wideshot

When a character walks through a group of animals, and they scatter. Particularly chickens.

Least favorite:
"LET THE GIRL SPEAK"
Anything where a random background character shouts to assert that the protagonist is trying to say something.

I don't know about favorites, I would have to think about it a lot more.
I like: Last stands, particularly when they involve ridiculous firepower against an overwhelming force

I dislike: Character with clearly fatal wounds survives just long enough to make whatever arrangements he needs to.

EXCEPTION: end of Excalibur. That is fine.

Favorite?

So you've got these established characters that form a team. Maybe they don't get along at first but eventually, through trial and error, they learn to work together. They bond, form friendships, maybe one of them falls in love. Then, something happens....

They become possessed, or they disagree on a major point, or they come to different conclusions. Then, they start to fight. All those relationships formed over the course of possibly years, ruined in seconds.

Bonus points if they start saying what they really think of each other.

Basically a team feeling the need to fight each other after being really close to each other really gets my goat.

At least that's one of them.

Least favorite trope:

Misunderstandings. Don't get me wrong, they can be useful but holy god damn are they used all the time in tv and sometimes worse, in movies. It essentially turns the plot immediately into a shitty soap opera that becomes increasingly grating to watch. The worst part is that there must be a huge amount of shitty writers because it's fucking EVERYWHERE. It's like the only plot point tv writers can come up with. It's especially frustrating with film because you only get so much time with it, so if that's the whole plot you just wasted 8 bucks and 2 hours.

Romantic comedy:
Opening/early scene : Main character walks in and discovers her boyfriend in bed with someone else.

Other kinds of movie:
Exposition and/or final scenes that involve a distant/helicopter shot of the characters (so you can't see if their lips are moving) and the actors dubbing over some awkward bullshit (which, in the case of final scenes, listlessly fades out as the music comes up)

Favorite: that thing where two people are fighting and then either a third opponent enters the fight or the area they're in is dangerous so they have to pay attention to multiple things while they're still fighting (one example of the three way fight being in the third pirates of the Caribbean movie where jack, norrington, and will are all fighting at once)

Least favorite: love triangles
