I thought it was great. It's exactly the kind of mix of bizarre characters, quirky protagonist and supernatural threat that I loved in TP. Plus, the ending almost made me bawl. It's one of those games where the total is greater than the sum of its parts.

Actually, I agree with you. I was preparing for the worst after they revealed the direction of Nadine's storyline following her suicide attempt, and then ended up liking it more than most of the stuff outside the main arc in the second half of S2. Watching her superstrength antics was genuinely entertaining, and had the unanticipated side effect of dramatically reducing the screen time for Ed and Norma's extremely bland romance sub-plot.

The most notable inconsistency seems to be the erasing of Annie from history. I honestly wouldn't mind at all if Lynch went full FWWM, but he won't. Mark Frost is involved in equal measure.
