How does the Duel on Mustafar rate compared to other SW battles?

I'm quite fond of the Luke vs Vader fight in RotJ.

On a side note, does anyone know what was up with Darth Vader's voice in A New Hope?
He was voiced by the same person throughout the entire OT but he sounded like a nagging bitch throughout all of New Hope as opposed to the iconic deep voice that he has in V and VI.

Low budget, seat-of-the-pants production. No one really expected it to be a massive success. The script was a mess, production had numerous issues including last minute replacement of Prowse's voice. James Earl Jones did one recording session with little direction. By Empire they had access to much better equipment and JEJ had adequate time to practice and find the right voice.

It had good atmosphere and decent level of emotion (relative to the prequels) until the fight lasted far too long. I think it was the best fight of the prequels.

My favorite star wars lightsaber fights are:
1. Luke and Vader at Bespin
2. Luke and Vader Death Star 2
3. Rey and Kylo

The emotion was lacking because of the fact that we only ever saw Anakin and Obiwan angry at each other in the prequels. The "good old times" were only passing mentions, so it seemed inevitable that they would duel.

Interesting thing about it is that it's the only lightsaber battle in any of the movies that wasn't sped up slightly in post

It's interminable, it just goes on and on without anything really inventive or cool going on. It's just woosh woosh for 20mins. Found this boring as a 13yr old at the cinema, just to give my 0.02.

The one with Darth Maul is still the best, BY FAR, battle from the prequel trilogy.

yeah, luke against vader for the second? bout was actually very emotional, i liked that it compared with the 'then i was the student, now i am the master' from a new hope - particularly when luke realises that he is becoming the master of evil by playing into the emperor's hand and becoming the new darth vader. every stanza, it rhymes, like poetry.

anakin against obi-wan had all the thrills of obi-wan against vader because we didn't know the characters' motivations so much. anakin being manipulated by palpatine is laughable. the way he force choked padme before the fight was honestly a fucking joke. he's seething with rage, but he stands there scowling and force-pushing her neck when every other time he's gone fucking mental and killed tuskens and younglings and shit. where is the poetry, lucas?

the difference between obi-wan v. vader and obi-wan v. anakin, however, is that one of them is VERY low budget, meant to give a sacrifice and give luke reason to fight for himself and the rebels, while the mustafar fight reeks of commercialism and CGI (though they did go without in places which is nice). gotta sell those playsets somehow.
