Why do people give 1/10's so easily? I can't even think of any movie that bad.

fantastic beasts and baby momma were 1/10's

gigli

i like this pepe
I rate on characters, so if I don't like the characters it gets <5
if your scale goes higher than 5 your a pleb.
the binary scale, the x/3, x/4, and x/5 are all vastly superior.

If you don't know the difference between your and you're... you're a pleb.
People have no idea how to use numerical scales anymore
Average movies aren't fucking 7/10, they are 5, which is the fucking average of the numbers. And movies below 6 aren't necessarly bad movies either.
1-2 Very bad movies that are generally unwatchable
3-4 Poorer quality movies that have problems, but can be watched
5 Average movie, no glaring issues but nothing stands out. Complete mediocrity.
6-7 Above average movie, some interesting moments/scenes
8-9 Well above average, very memorable/well made with essentially no issues
10 Perfect/near perfect movie

On IMDB they usually give those ratings so that other films don't take their favorite's spot in the Top 250. It's also part of why the Top 250 is mostly superhero and children's movies.

for all intense in purpose this is correct
A Talking Cat!? is definitely at least a 2/10 film.
>I can't even think of any movie that bad.
Watch Monster a-Go Go and get back to me.
>>79645943
but I'd put like 90% of the films I've ever watched in the 2-4 range. So 5 wouldn't be average.
I've been watching all the horror movies on Netflix, ALL of them
There are 1/10s out there, anon. There are "bad" movies out there that have some redeeming qualities, and then there are BAD movies.
