All the critics say it's the best show on television right now, and I agree.
So why isn't it more popular? Didn't people sleep on Breaking Bad and The Wire until critics started praising them to high heavens.
only the first season was great

yes

does she get blacked like her mother? I have only watched the first season
>>79629672
No she turned to god.

Critically acclaimed "television".
Best show currently?
I'd go with The Leftovers>>The Young Pope>The Americans>>>>>>everything else.

mfw burgers gave the lil pope a 75% rating in RT
Sure, yes. This last season was absolutely remarkable, just genius mode.
It's not as easy to get into when flipping channels eating pizza and texting. You could turn Breaking Bad on and see some cool epic shit before a commercial break, this asks a little of the audience. It's about slight character and family moments, tension, dread, etc.
Best airing? For an ongoing series, probably yeah. The Young Pope, Show Me a Hero, People vs OJ are all amazing too but seem to be limited or mini series.
Baskets is also telekinography.
Americans makes good use of music.

I don't how Breaking Bad doesn't ask a little of its audience. I say it's more to do with the subject matters. I think more people will watch a show about drug dealers than a show the Cold War espionage and the family stuff surrounding that. Also, Breaking Bad got big right around when split up the last season between 2012 and 2013, so maybe because The Americans is ending more people will be inclined to catch up and watch since that's ending

But given how younger people have become more tuned into politics over the past few years you'd think they might show more interest.
Now that the dust has finally had time to settle I think we can all agree the moment when Stan finally finds out about Phillip and senpai will rival or surpass the hype of Isaac finding out about Walt.
is this actually good or just classy waifubait romance trash with a spy subplot
>man does something slightly wrong
>woman calls the kgb to kill him
>woman does something very wrong
>man scolds her a little
>woman loses her shit
>cucks man
Dropped right there.

It's actually incredible. Reminiscent of Mad Men in its nuance, character work, history, "slow burn." There is next to no romance save for maybe the first season but it gets better after that.
>>79630253
I kinda want Phillip to kill Stan as an ultimate regret.
halfway through season 2, it's good
also
>it's a Elizabeth wants 'Clark' to be an animal in bed but she ends up getting rekt episode

I like this scene too, and the one where Elizabeth fakes the affair.

This guy needs an Emmy.
His acting is Cranston tier.
>>79633779
What do you think about the idea of Matthew Rhystaking over as Wolverine
>>79633877
i think he's better than that and shouldn't waste his time on schlock
>>79634212
I guess, still I think he'd be great and if anything would put a nice spotlight on The Americans at least.
it's scummy but fuck it, Fassbender's doing it.
>>79629553
Because it's pretty repetitive. So many of the episodes and disguises just blend together.
>>79634432
It's almost as if they use the same disguise to meet with specific people.
Weak fucking criticism
>>79634432
It's like The Sopranos in that it appears to be episodic, loads of standalone episodes, but there's always a bigger plotline bubbling in the background.
>>79629643
on the contrary, it's gotten steadily better.
