Is it artistic? That gets into defining what exactly "art" is, which is too deep a question to answer on /tv/. It's certainly not good.

I'm sure the filmmakers tried to jam some hamfisted "social commentary" in there to justify the perversion, but it's handled so terribly it gets lost in the awful narrative.
