Lolita is a drama. Other Kubrick stuff like Full Metal Jacket has comedic scenes and comedic side characters but Dr. Strangelove is his only actual comedy film.

I like Kubrick and the ending is a classic of course but I honestly did not laugh more than once or twice. I thought it was more clever than funny. The slapsticky bits didn't do anything for me at all.

I'm an ADHD fuck and I always get bored way too fast watching the classics but I power through just to see what the fuss is all about. This movie absolutely surprised me, I had more fun all the way through than most modern films. Perfect combination of comedy and political commentary.
