The season premiere was decent, although I've never been a huge fan of the Hannah-focused episodes. I'm honestly kinda ready for the show to be over in a weird way. I don't think Girls is as culturally relevant in the US as it was when it first started. Maybe it was meta, but the scene where Ray and Shosh are skewering a newspaper columnist for opining about the "disappearing middle class", and how rote and old that subject is, could also be a commentary on the show itself.

I'm excited to see how the story of Girls concludes, but ultimately I'm more interested in Lena's next show, Max.

I'm so ready for it to end. Its been good, but the last 2 seasons were meh. Adam dating Jessa is dumb, they should've taken him out of the show. Every character other than Ray is an obnoxious asshole and its gotten to be too much of a burden to follow their misadventures. That first season was kino though.

I don't understand this meme. They're literally perfect for each other, and their inevitable falling for one another was the best part of last season. Jessa has been pretending to be someone she's not for most of the show, and Adam was the only thing that got her to stop doing that. And Adam has always been my favorite part of the show, so I will never stop needing more of him.

Right now I just dislike what they're doing with Marnie. She was my favorite "girl" in the cast and ever since her divorce it seems like the writers don't know wtf to do with her. She had that fantastic capsule episode last season, but that's it. Here's hoping she and Desi figure their shit out and start recording again or Desi's sad beta ass can fuck off.
