There's no limit, but you need to pass a medical exam every year. Incidentally, there is actually a forced retirement age for air traffic controllers. 65 years if I'm not mistaken. A lot of airlines can have their own policies as well, but as far as PPLs go, there is none.

You can do a lot of maintenance yourself. Yes, engine overhauls are expensive, but if you are actually smart and plan on these known costs ahead of time, flying is affordable. You don't need to own a twin turboprop if all you're going to do is fly 150 miles to your fishing/hunting camp.
