Let me ask anyone who enjoys this show a question, how long have you been watching? Did you binge watch? This is literally, LITERALLY the worst fucking SJW show in fucking existence. I watched this show from day 1, I have a habit of downloading everything. And this show was fucking great, I dare say GOAT. It's when Flint becomes a homosexual is when this show goes downhill, very fucking quick. It's okay if you binged watched it, but I watched this show for years, and there was not one, one inline that he was gay, it was a twist in the purest sense of the word, a fucking SJW twist.

Have not gone back to this show, think it was last year? Or year before? Since 100% of Flint's motivation became homosexual. I couldn't care less if he was gay, but the whole motivation, literally everything in the show was about some boy love which they had to pull out of nowhere as if they actually gave inklings, people would have dropped it.

The only importance his sexuality has, is that it led to the circumstances that made him deeply resent the current order of the empire and brought him to Nassau.

Functionally, they could just as easily have killed/taken his brother or wife/children instead of a homosexual lover and his wife.

And in contrast to how most homosexual characters get written, as in, either the dragqueeny, super feminine laughing stock, or the hamfisted on the nose attempt at a political message, flint has nothing like that attached.

Her accent pisses me off. I think she is an interesting character and I feel pity for her because of the hardships she has experienced, but she's shallow at the same time. She was born into slavery but is so eloquent. How? She spent most of her life as a lowly prostitute so why is she so good at managing finances now? Why did she fall for Eleanor in the first place? I guess this shallow characterization affects everyone not named Silver and Flint.

I got mad when they killed off Gates in the first season because he was the only likeable one at the time. I also got angry at the way they handled Dufresne "betraying" the Walrus crew in season two and him suddenly becoming selfish when he was always against Flint's self-serving interests in the first. Billy's character also doesn't make any sense to me...he was a nice guy but now he's playing some sort of manipulation game?

I don't understand why they confirm Aane as being gay but continue to have her in love with Jack. Just call her bisexual. That's what she is. Max is more likely gay, she seems to only have sex with men for money. All her romantic interactions have been with women.

I always thought Silver developing a loyalty towards the crew was sloppy.
He turns them against each other by telling stories where everybody is doing embarrassing shit and that makes them all love him. He just suddenly ends up loving them too because of the praise he gets.
The crew was smarter than that in season one hence all the voting and fighting over captaincy but they became completely malleable towards Flint and Silver's will by the third over really dumb shit. They should have mutinied.

Yeah, Billy was a nice guy but he became a manipulative bastard. Maybe the torture made him crazy. His attitude towards Dufresne confused me. They got along well and Billy like him but then he betrays him and he doesn't give much of a fuck about Gates' death.
