>CODE asks: what would society gain from having more women and people of color code, and how do we get there?
Now on Netflix HAHAHAHA XD
>>79412362
A lot of shitty gadgets
>>79412433
Why not just do a simple while loop..
While (a != 0 ) {
b=b+b
--a
}
>>79412362
>Code in the background of the poster is JavaScript
>>79412523
Anon I'm not a programmer but that doesn't look like it'd work
>>79412523
Having class on data structures now, I believe the joke is that it's recursion done wrong, m8.
You could solve it all with a function that calls itself inside a single if-else loop. Or not, I might be wrong.
>>79412523
You may be a woman, or a mad man.
>>79412613
Yeah, you'd have store the result in a third variable.
It would be c=b+c
>>79412523
That wouldn't work.
This would.
c=b;
While (a != 1 ) {
b=b+c
--a
}

>code with a female venus symbol
>women AND people of color
What the fuck does this mean
>>79412896the agenda
>>79412362
>that clusterfuck of "Code"
Ha
>WOMEN MUST BE IN EVERY BUSINESS FOR DIVERSITIES SAKE
wew
>>79412838
My cancellation looks like the right move more and more every day.
>>79412523
Your approach right but the code's algebra is incorrect and would also do very poorly with negative numbers.
c=0
While (a != 0) {
if (a>0){
c -= b}
else{
c += b}
a = abs(a)-1
}
return c
should be sufficient

>more people of color to code
>actually implying the majority of my company is not indian
what did ((they)) mean by this?
>>79412759
I love the idea that that picture was made to mock female programmers, and real people confused it for evidence of superiority.
>>79413019
Adding a negative number is the same as subtracting it. You don't need the extra step.
>>79412362
>what would society gain from having more women and people of color code, and how do we get there?
I'm sure we'd have all sorts of new advancements in the tech industry. Like new apps to find the nearest cum dumpster, or a stylized BDSM dating website that seeks to take away the stigma of ball busting, or video games full of exciting content that challenges your worldviews.
>>79412362
What the fuck is Django doing on that poster? They don't mean the KILL WHITEY movie do they?
>what would society gain from having more women and people of color code
more people coding
>and how do we get there?
make women and black people enjoy logic and mathematics
that was an easy question
>>79412362
You're mo a misogynist, are you anon?
>>79413112
Do you think if all women that currently code stopped coding we would have less of those things?
>>79413094
input a can be negative too
Think if a starts as -4
>>79412838
>>79412523
would be forever stuck in while and the output would be the same sign as b rather than the opposite.
>>79412838
You'd want to check that a and b were also positive first, and if not handle the signs. Otherwise yours wont work either because its using int
>>79413094
I did mess up the += and -= assignments though
>>79413113
open your eyes, they are going for broke now
>>79413175
Fair, I didn't notice the int assignments in the original image.
>>79412362
>this field is creating a lot of jobs and WE WOMEN are not getting them!
>geeeee this WHITE MALES perpetuating their systems of OPRESSION
>>79413137
All I know is that when there's a new useless project being thrown around it's women running the show. Every time someone is rocking the boat and ruining a project, it's a woman. Every time someone makes a ridiculous documentary like this, it's a woman. Women suck at being team players, and they suck at working pragmatic goals. Something like coding is only a platform for them to rock the boat and be annoying cunts.
>>79413148
Yeah you're right. Though the most efficient way would be to ignore the signs entirely in the loop and figure out if it's negate at the end outside the loop.
Good. I hope they enjoy making 35k a year as a CRUD web developer.
>>79412362
Nerds the tv show, you nerds.
>>79413373
I would kill to make 35k a year.
>>79413722
35k is NOTHING in software development.
do yourself a favor and don't learn javascript. stay out of web development.
>>79412362
how about more white people in code? i'm a 3rd year soft eng student and there's not more than 25% white people in my classes. but you don't hear about that.
their "diversity" and "different ways of approaching problems", that's all a meme, by the way. they don't code different just because they smell like curry or falafel. code is dogmatic, and they're just traditionally smart people.
>>79414455
Yea but they shit in the streets they can't be too smart, and a lot of their code blows and doesnt work
>>79412362
Stop posting stuff like this every time something triggers you. I'm tired of seeing it. The Dear Black People incident is the worst recent example, but I see these posts constantly. Stop being so defensive and grow up.
