Because its not a very good movie, even if it was relatively amusing.

It had a poor third act.

It criticized the studio system.

It made fun of the narrative that Hollywood's covertly communist writers did nothing wrong. Remember they literally nominated Trumbo last year.

Oh man I can't remember how many times Ive seen Trumbo on HBO or saw it on cable and just had to watch it because it was so compelling!

I thought it was really funny and better than a lot of people give it credit for. Well shot to, but that's just about every Coen film.

It was wrongly advertised as being a movie about Clooney, but it felt like he hardly had scream time

Because farcical Coens never gets awards season love, only self-serious Coens.

I personally thought this was a great movie that did a lot of things I didn't expect. Not their best but it's obvious they have a great knowledge of golden era Hollywood and that whole time period of movie making. It was a little meandering but the characters were fun enough to keep the pace up.
