I actually think the Jedi ending is beautiful, as a full stop, an end to the saga. But having back sequel trilogy (especially what we got in 7) retroactively ruins it.

I don't think ending on a downer with Solo dead and Luke walking off into the sunset would work, without a sequel trilogy, which they were no longer planning on at the time

Spider-Man 3 was Raimi's personal two hour "fuck you" to Sony Pictures, Avi Arad, and in the process, any normies who loved the first two movies and didn't know about Raimi's film history. He has to agree with the general consensus that it's awful to make it less obvious, but it's a Raimi movie through and through. You can actually feel his anger and frustration coming through during the studio mandated additional scenes, especially those including Venom talking and the unnecessary amnesia/love triangle plot.

In the process, though, he created something beautiful. A hilarious mess of schlock that really never lets up. SM3 has this super fast pace that I'd say is the most faithful live action adaptation of the popular 90's animated series. Subplots are introduced and immediately wrapped up or ignored, dialogue and scenes slam into each other, the tone flies all over the place. It's a very unique superhero movie if only for the execution and bubbling anger you can feel hiding in every creative decision.

You act like everyone thought Birdman did it first. Everyone praised Birdman because even though it wasn't the first (or for even the second or the third) movie to attempt a one-take effect, there's no doubt it had the best execution of any film that's tried it.

Rope was an alright experiment and a good movie regardless of editing tricks but the 'hidden' cuts were extremely obvious.

https://uk.movies.yahoo.com/the-incredible-story-behind-tiptoes-the-movie-in-121940150.html
>But to understand why [Tiptoes] happened, one needs to wind back a few months. The now-63-year-old (below) had actually written the script for ‘Tiptoes’ when he was 18. He envisaged “a raucous comedy about little people f***ing each other”, but the movie never materialised.
>When [Kate Beckinsale] signed on for 2003’s ‘Tiptoes’, written and directed by cult filmmaker Matthew Bright, she agreed to do it for SAG minimum wage – with one condition. She wanted her character to wear the star’s own lucky hat. “I said, ‘sure, I promise you can wear it,’” Bright tells Yahoo Movies now. At the time, he didn’t know that the hat would get him fired from the film.
>When funding came from the unlikeliest of places, Bright jumped on it. “My stepfather – a guy my mother was married to for like a year – had this neighbour, John Langley, who did this show ‘Cops’,” he says. “He said, ‘I’d be interested’ and they got the script and said, ‘hey, we want to make this movie’, him and his wife.”
>“I put [my cast and crew] through hell,’ says the director. “I told them it was going to be this wonderful production and instead there were these [people] running around screaming at people and making young assistants weep. It was just horrible.”
>And indeed, aside from the ridicule, it’s become something of a cult hit. ‘Drive’ director Nicolas Winding Refn is a fan and Hanley recently sent him a copy of the director’s cut, which still exists.
>[The director's] behaviour at the movie’s Sundance premiere probably didn’t help. Having been invited on-stage to talk up the film, he instead launched into a scathing attack on the [producers] for their interference and slammed the finished product.

>A refurbished Star Wars is on somewhere or everywhere. I have no intention of revisiting any galaxy. I shrivel inside each time it is mentioned. Twenty years ago, when the film was first shown, it had a freshness, also a sense of moral good and fun. Then I began to be uneasy at the influence it might be having. The bad penny first dropped in San Francisco when a sweet-faced boy of twelve told me proudly that he had seen Star Wars over a hundred times. His elegant mother nodded with approval. Looking into the boy’s eyes I thought I detected little star-shells of madness beginning to form and I guessed that one day they would explode.

>“I would love you to do something for me,” I said.

>“Anything! Anything!” the boy said rapturously.

>“You won’t like what I’m going to ask you to do,” I said.

>“Anything, sir, anything!”

>“Well,” I said, “do you think you could promise never to see Star Wars again?”

>He burst into tears. His mother drew himself up to an immense height. “What a dreadful thing to say to a child!” she barked, and dragged the poor kid away. Maybe she was right but I just hope the lad, now in his thirties, is not living in a fantasy world of secondhand, childish banalities.

>I think the ability to spell is a good marker of intelligence, as evidenced by you

The ability to spell "Robert Pattinson" is a good marker of intelligence? Pretty sure I can find any cunt on tumblr who can spell "Robert Pattinson."

>Memes aside, are you genuinely autistic?

No, but you might be. Because you're a grammar nazi who knew exactly who I was talking about, but thinks a single letter in someone else's post means you're more intelligent, and not just an autistic, vampire-movie-loving faggot.

>If you're older than 15 then I feel sorry for you as clearly your parents/teachers failed you in life

And how old are you? 17? Be honest anon. How many Twilight fanfics have you written? Which one is your favorite book? Come on, you can share with us.

Haven't you shitposted enough in this thread already?
>>
>>79424251

No, like I said, it's been said better by other people. Everything wrong with Cosmopolis has been better said by others.

I probably don't have anything superior to what they've said to add, except that autists who love Limo: The Movie or Robert PattinSON should kill themselves.

I'm not. The autist who autistically loves Cosmopolis and Robert PATTINSON is.

>Google exists, you have no excuses to spell anything wrong these days

Yeah, let me Google the name of every shitty actor before commenting on /tv/ that the actor is shitty.

I'm really worried that Hiroshima will flunk me for this thread, you fucking sperg.

How's it like having a father who's 40 years older than you?

How is Robert Pattinson a bad actor? Don't reply if you're just gonna say 'because he is'.
And I seriously doubt someone like you would have seen a director's whole filmography. You really talk/write like your usual kid on capeshit threads, which you very probably are.

Well, that's correct in a way. Goode was a horrible, nonsensical choice for Ozymandias. Casting really was very bad on that film, but his, I feel, was the absolute worst.

Yes, the portrayal of the character is the standard model of arrogant villains of capeshit, but the imposing, larger than life figure is totally raped when somebody like Goode is the actor chosen.
