But that doesn't matter. The Usual Suspects, for instance. Fenster, played by Benecio Del Toro, didn't have an accent or was as humorous in the original script. Del Toro gave him these qualities and the directors went along with. Who is to say the actor playing L or Light don't give them different kinds of character?
