A combination of too much weed and a midlife crisis caused by Zack & Miri under-performing. He spent decades being the guy who made indie comedies that had dedicated fans but never a really big audience. He thought Zack & Miri would be his big financial success and when it wasn't he decided to rethink everything and try to do something different. And it first it worked out.

Red State while not an amazing movie was good while being way out of his comfort zone. But this emboldened him to just start taking too many risks on whatever dumbass idea he came up with which has led us to now with him making shit like Tusk and Yoga Hosers. Both are different and weird but they're not good movies because he just threw every random thought at the wall and none of it stuck.

If he stopped smoking while writing and really applied himself to trying to make something genuine I think he could make a legitimately great movie but I just don't think he has it in him to try at this point in his life. Really him just directing episodes of superhero shows and making more stoner comedies is probably the best way he could spend the rest of his life until he dies of being a fat fuck.

He is good at making Clerks movies and...? I mean I did laugh at J&SB movie, it had a mediocre 90's comedy feel to it, but it was nothing short of genies, and all of his other movies were bad or horrible.

He made a good movie about early or late 20's life crisis, and about midlife crisis with the same cast. This is the only thing he is good at, and its not like he can play this card too many times.

Not Euro but Southamerican trash and when I was on the States I showed them my country's ID where it clearly showed I was over the drinking age despite looking younger, did it in supermarkets, liquor stores, bars and discos and never had a problem, maybe you're being too uptight dude.

A foreign passport is harder to accept since it's just pieces of paper. We aren't trained in identifying foreign passports so for me to be able to accept the most I'm able to do is flip through it and make sure you have proper stamps for entrance and exiting various countries. Which again I'm not trained in passport identication is a giant pain.

Plus, we do have agencies that come in and try buying booze/cigarettes with no Id, a fake ID, or expired id. And if we sell it we get in trouble, so acceptance of foreign ID also comes down to how much of a fuck they care about their job.
