Just saw Suspiria and realised how much I love it in horror movies where colour plays a large role, if not the main draw of the movie.
Any other good examples of colour horror, or are we limited to only a couple of movies at the moment?
Hollywood get on this please
Green Room?
I really like the lighting in Alien, especially during the escape scene.
OP here
The Neon Demon also does alot with lighting in a cool way, really the best part of the movie imo.
The VVitch does alot of cool lighting stuff.
The Masque of The Red Death (1964)
Don’t Look Now (1973)
The Sixth Sense and most M.Night films
NWRefn films are high contrast color

he stole that from Bava, who was his mentor and friend.
blood and black lace was also like that, wouldn't be surprised if argento watched that a few times before he made suspiria.

The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears (2013)
Blackaria (2010)
Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)
All the Colors of the Dark (1972)
Horsehead (2014)
I would recommend Amer. It's from the guys who made The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears which this anon already mentioned >>79269318

Thanks, lots of these all interesting, especially Beyond the Black Rainbow.

Well hammer films have a lot colour in them,
When I say colour horror I mean a movie where colour is used an actual plot device which tells us stuff about the characters or story rather than an additional technique to instill an emotion in us.

>beyond the black rainbow
Total trash flick. Makes a better collection of screenshots than a real film.
Not Horror but any of Refn's stuff.

Yeah I mentioned Refn's latest movie earlier actually, which is close enough to colour horror even if it isn't particularly scary.
It was the colours and soundtrack that actually convinced me to watch it in the end.
