if the movie was just as good as the games, would it blow movies like john wick and the equalizer out of the water?
Yeah, but it would still be trash

a max payne movie that is as good as the first 2 games, would still be trash? how the fuck?
>>79240996
Because max payne is good as a game but would be hammy trash as a movie, as is the case with almost every game in existence.

>no film will ever have the feeling of Alan Wake

They'd have to go campy as fuck with it. Most people would probably dismiss it as being silly video game John-Woo wannabe nonsense.
There's something about the presentation of the comic sections in the game that wouldn't translate well into film.
>it's just ripping off Sin City
>trying too hard to be stylish
>never should have been made into a movie
I wouldn't be surprised if these were phrases in reviews
There's an interesting piece in last week's The New Yorker about this, well, interactive filmmaking , bridging the gap w/ games

I don't agree at all. the graphic novels of the first 2 games alone would make a great film. the retards who made the movie changed like 90% of the plot. I'm talking about a movie that is JUST LIKE THE GAME, copy fucking paste. something like sin city but a lot better.

kek, probably the only cheesy moment from the whole game, nothing is perfect.
>>79241307
Didn't final destination 3 do something like that on the dvd?
>>79241297
I know, this is sadly true.
What about Payne and redemption?

looks terrible.
