Just watched S9 myself. Had to skip most of Season 8 (for obvious reasons) but I have to say S9 was a solid 7/10 and the last two episodes are god tier.

The Sopranos. Nothing is better or will make you sadder

The Office is probably my 'favorite'. Mostly because I'm really lonely and watching it makes me feel like I have friends and it's not so insipid as to make it unwatchable like most sitcoms.

As far as best, probably the Soprannies or Mad Men. There's really not a lot of choice out there. Curb your enthusiasm is really good too
