Its good. People calling it reddit are getting hung up on the nostalgia bait. Which is OK, it is pretty lame. But beyond that its a well made show thats entertaining to watch for just about anyone.

I like it. I don't know if there is enough intrigue in the setting or the characters left to justify a second season.

The first season, sequel-bait like throwing up spooky slugs and whatever the cop was up to aside, didn't really leave me hungry for more. The fun was seeing how everyone came to terms with the gradually increasing weirdness. I don't know if a direct sequel season really benefits a show that stands on stylistic success the way Stranger Things does. Could be wrong though; at the very least it has a strong cast.
