it followed the story as close as it could and besides the shitty action and some weird casting I can't complain

I think adjusted for the complexity he did a good job. Has its problems, both as a movie and as an adaptation, but I think it remained faithful to the spirit of Watchmen.
Some scene is genuinely good. Is probably the best Snyder.

it's great everything about it is perfect except that it has malin akerman in it she has one of the ugliest faces in hollywood and her hairstyle with the bangs and stuff is abhorrent

Hell, they could even make a full series and make up shit about the aftermath, the Minutemen, the Crimebusters in the 60s, and so on, as long as Season 1 was exactly like the comics

I admit that changing the fault to Doc Manhattan from the squid was an improvement. Veidt's plan in the comics was overly complicated, keeping in mind the technology of that timeline

Its got problems and flaws, but an admirable attempt to adapt unadaptable source material. If you're a fan you'll enjoy seeing panels of the comic on screen, but don't expect any of the depth or nuance of the comic.
