>We're shooting a high budget Sci-fi and need a very charismatic female lead, beloved by both critics and audiences alike
>say no more sir

>Also, she's kinda kooky and sometimes there will scenes of her doing laundry on the spaceship while singing loudly along to Taylor Space Swift

for some reason I knew from the start that if they were hiding the face of the character it's because it was going to be Sigourney
probably because it's not the only time she did those cameos in flicks like that

Sigourney Weaver is the Queen of Sci-fi. Big and small.
It's a tragedy we don't have any young female actresses who would follow in her footsteps, dedicated to this genre.
There's something to be admired about how she always managed to remain graceful and feminine, despite playing typically male roles. Sh managed to convey a simple message that said, yeah, women can be just as inspiring as men, without turning it into a hamfisted feminazi-fest.

Zoe Saldana literally starred in most big sci-fi franchises in the recent history, and almost exclusively so, so it's not true that there are no younger actresses with similar aspirations.

she could have been skynet too. better than that trash whore marla singer.
