>tfw you know they're gonna make a movie of this
>tfw you know they're gonna butcher it
They can't butcher it harder than the current owner of the IP.
Tim Cain didn't spend his early 20's in crunch time for this shit.
Neil Blomkamp could do it.

>>he's never seen A Boy & His Dog
fucking plebtown up in here!
>>79117839
Fallout is inspired by every post apocalyptic movie there is, and has inspired a few of its own.
>>79117839
Vidya is for a kids and they have never made a successful movie, why would they
they already made 4
>>79117839
Why is Fallout so comfy?
>>79117905
>he thinks it's only a boy and his dog
According to the creator of the IP the full list is:
The Day After
La Jetee*
City of Lost Children*
Forbidden Planet*
The Road Warrior
A Boy And His Dog
* = mostly used for the retro futuristic look of the technology
>video game
>good story
haha dumbass
>>>/v/
I'd pay money to see a high quality centaur done with mostly practical effects.

Deus Ex had a pretty sweet story
>>79118027
The first two games and New Vegas had a pretty good atmosphere and theme.
It's not like a movie could fuck up the series worse than 3 or 4, anyways.
MURDERER
THIS IS HOPELESS
>video game movies

Fallout 3 and 4 are basically Fallout movies in terms of how little ambition they have, and force you into a generic blockbuster storyline about a messiah with iconography from the old games.
>>79117839
0/10 because the dogs probably gonna die saving the antagonist from a deathclaw ;_;
>>79118255
They'd better fucking not. I didn't get dogmeat through those fucking forcefields to watch a fallout movie where the dog gets shot.
>>79118375
This, I spent more stimpacks on dogmeat than me at that fucking Mariposa base
>>79118006
>>he played more than 1 & 2
gen y pleb. get a fucking job and stop wasting your life on vidyagame shit no one but kuks cares about.
>>79117839
The Book of Eli was a solid 8/10 fallout movie.
>>79118432
I played 1, 2 and New Vegas, but seriously this list of movies that inspired Fallout (along with books and games) comes from Tim Cain himself
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa5IzHhAdi4
Also what's wrong with being gen Y?
New Vegas has the best story but idk how any of them translate to a movie
If I had to pick best video game to film games I'd go Red Dead Redemption, Halo 1 or GTA San Andreas

Not very well, since the whole point of the game is that you've got a shitload of options and paths around almost all objectives. How do you make a movie about a game where you can be the shining knight of the wasteland, or a slaver that's shunned by the few remaining settlements you haven't wiped off the map.

As long as they get someone with a fat ass to play Nora, I'll give it a viewing.
