Hot Tub Time Machine was bogged down by John Cusack's shit pointless fucking downer of a protagonist who only exists to satisfy the 'message' quota that ruins every fucking hollywood comedy for some reason. I enjoyed the sequel a lot more because it doesn't fuck around making some kind of statement about experience and choices and the rest and just makes stupid jokes about the future and lets Lou be an asshole to everyone for 90 minutes.
