The only Mind Tricking that is going on in the books is Sansa getting mindtricked and gaslighted by literally every character she meets.

She gets fucking tricked by a FAT DRUNK FOOL, like how do her fans justify this? I get that people can feel sympathy and pity for her but I don't understand how they think that she is gonna somehow come out as queen of everything by the end of it, she doesn't have an ambitious thought in her head, she gets told what to do by everyone and she completely complies with everything. Basically Sansa is a shit character that's there to add complexity and drama not because she is worth being written about. If you took away her last name Sansa would be nothing. I've been hyped about GoT for every prior season. Even though I didn't like season 5, I was at least interested in season 6.

Now season 7 I have literally no interest in the series at all. Even though season 6 had some great scenes and high production value battles, I really don't care much about the characters anymore. There is no hero or villain, just a bunch of morally grey characters that deserve what they get either way it comes.

I do care about Jon, but it no longer feels like Jon himself is the hero. It feels like he's just a long for the ride with this Arthurian legend plot and now he is immune after literally coming back from the dead. There is no doubt that Jon will save the day, whether he survives in the end or not. It's so boring.

Cersei now has gone full blown ramsey evil and doesn't even care about her family and children anymore - this was her redeeming quality.

Danny you could say is the hero, yet she is bringing nothing but destruction to Westeros just for power. She is literally bringing an army of pillaging rapists to conquer.

I would say Jaime may end up being the best example of a likable heroic character because of his redemption arch if they go all the way and have him kill Cersei or something.

also to take note the similarities of when bran eats the weirwood paste and Dany drinks shade of the evening, the experiences are described similarly to tasting awful but getting better as they continue. It also wouldn't surprise me if the ironborn had influence from Ironwood trees, shade of the evening / long night, 'what is dead may never die' etc.

I don't believe Jon is 'the hero' of the story but is clearly a hero of the story. He'll be destined to rule and will live. But Jaime will be the unexpected hero, will definitely leave an impression in the book of the kings guard which has his achievements at a bare minimum atm but being that unlikely hero also will mean he will have to die. only to be reborn eventually again when needed next.
