I typically cant stand regular horror movies but I really enjoy found footage movies. Recommend me some good ones like Blair Witch and the early Paranormal Activity.
the 4th kind has some ancient aliens shit in it

Found footage I can never forget the fact that I'm watching a movie, and watching a movie isn't scary no matter what happens.
I've never understood the appeal they just seem to be so bad and yet so popular. It's a thing for others I guess

The Last Exorcism
The Banshee Chapter
The Taking of Deborah Logan

Grave Encounters 1 is pretty fun
Trollhunter is great. Not english though.

I think found footage movies are about as entertaining as watching videos of a colonoscopy. If we could combine the two genres we could create a new breed of kino. A different breed of kino that would stand the test of time!

LOL. It was one of the worst in the genre.

These are all pretty good. REC, too.

That's what immersion is for.
Now there are terrible movies that don't even allow you to get immersed because of glaring flaws in rationality or just plain bad acting, but if you're like "nuh-uh this is fiction what do I care" to everything then it's kinda your fault.

Lake Mungo if documentary-style counts, otherwise I guess [REC] and Trollhunter.

That'd be Borderlands, at least the ending.

Heard really good things about lake mungo, might check it out.
