If by "HD" you mean the usual Bluray rips you find in torrents and such sites. Then MPC-HC is better.


If you mean "real HD" like 80GB rips (h264, 60fps, etc....), then you may need to make some tweaks in the player, and maybe download some additional codecs.

VLC is good but it is a 100
Potplayer is about an 80
and MPC-HC is a 50.

that is how much of your computer's processor power it uses. While VLC is good. MPC HC uses half as much power and once you learn a few of the hotkeys, it is even better than VLC

I thought YIFY was alright, back when I watched things on my 15 inch laptop with headphones.
Now i have a 27 inch 4k TV with a 5.2 surround sound, and I have to re-download a video that is a YIFY copy to even watch it. Too terrible. i will say that for mobile versions of the movie, YIFY is just fine.

the 100 is a relative number to relate MPC and Potplayer too. its NOT 100%

ShAaNig is good, but he usually uses x265 which takes a better computer to even run correctly. On my laptop i have to use MPC HC to even run x265, VLC will lag and glitch a lot. But if you are using a computer capable of running x265, you should probably be watching a better quality copy than ShAaNig
