Watch Bronson firrst, it's probably Hardy's best performance. And then watch Valhalla Rises or Only God Forgives

bronson is probably the easiest to get into.
the pusher series is really good. smaller contained character stories, less style.
only god forgives is all cinematography and slow burn metaphors. but its harder to get into.

Don't get me wrong, I think Refn's a genius, but he clearly didn't expect Drive to have the impact that it did. I think he was trying to play it safe and transition into studio films, and then when it did stupidly well, he decided to go full auteur

The writers worry me since they're responsible for everything shit and non-sensical in Bond. But since Refn's cowriting, I have some hope for the story.
They were technically co-writers on Casino Royale too so it's possible they can be good when kept in check
