Better than the original. One of the best scifi's ever.

I didn't see the original but I love this movie. The atmosphere and moodiness is enveloping. In truth I almost wish it was longer, it feels a little rushed in places.

I've read the book and just downloaded the 2002 version because of this thread. Should I download the Tarkovsky version and watch that first or is starting with the 2002 version fine?
