Even being a manager at a movie theater is an awful job.

Pay is still shit for the amount of work you have to do.

Not only do you have to deal with paperwork, inventory, and all the behind the scenes stuff they make you do (there aren't projectionists anymore, they just dump all the booth work they did onto the managers now), payroll is nowhere near the amount needed to actually run a theater that is even just somewhat busy. So this means you are stuck doing all the regular employee work on top of this.

And god forbid something go wrong during your shift and a movie doesn't play because something like the keys they sent you for the movie end up not working. You'll get old people bitching at you calling you a lazy milennial, and you'll get the ghetto hoodrats with their 7 kids complaining that you personally ruined their night.

Meanwhile you then get an email from corporate wondering why you're getting so many complaints about there not being enough staff and why you had to lose a show.

The theatre industry is completely terrible.
