Places that, in your personal opinion, would make a horrible

Liberia is a top shithole, Belarus is a jewel of civilization if you compare the two countries. Many other African nations suck hard too.

There are a handful of us. I went there and Sierra Leone, but not for fun--it was for work.

It's pretty depressing in most respects, but some of the coasts and countryside are actually really beautiful, and people outside Monrovia are mostly exceptionally friendly.

I'm sure that people here will chide me about it, but I simply refuse to go to a country with so many social, economic, and infrastructure problems. I say this as a man who lived in eastern Ukraine when the conflict was hot enough to hear artillery in the far distance from my apartment.
