stuck in manila for 2 weeks waiting for a flight
is there anything of remote interest here worth touristing over?
people here are friendly and the food is decent. not complaining, but overall getting around js such a pain i feel like just getting coffee every day

Manila is an awful place, why not head down to a beach at Puerto Galera. It's probably about 100 kilometres to Batangas then across on the ferry.
Even if you don't like beaches being stuck there is better than being stuck in Manila

i have a friend here in makati and we han out when he gets off work
it really does seem mostly awful here but i just came from spending weeks at a beach and am looking to go to another beach so I'd thought to give it a try here
when i am tired here it feels nearly like hell on earth, not even 5 inches of personal space when walking, unreasonably slow traffic to go just 1 km, etc... but i have several friends who like it here because of the social atmosphere, so I'm giving it a try. i just feel bored during the day
They have cool malls, but so does everywhere else in SEA

Waiting for a flight for two weeks? What kind of situation have you found yourself in?
>>1285143
it saves me 200 on a flight to my next planned destination or theoretically 300 on a flight home if i wait 2 weeks. i am aimless and maybe a bit homesick, but in no rush
i think it is low season here, so outbound flights are unreasonably high
i could just go to the next place no, but as i mentioned i am a bit aimless and depressed so it doesnt matter to me either way
my time horizon is essentially limitless, so the 200 dollars seems worthy of saving if i have no current motivation

Sorry to hear that, anon. Hope you feel better.

wasnt trying to complain, sorry
i just realized a two week stopover is kind of weird
i was just looking for interesting things in manila
people here are quite happy. i am hoping to learn something from that
Spend it banging the local wild life
Get out of Manila and explore Luzon. The whole city is terrible. You're going to hate it.

what if i am tired of exploring and want to settle down someplace a bit and get cozy
maybe have a haunt, learn some tagalog, learn the local scene a bit?
i am not saying i can become natove, but back home there is plenty to do every day, even though to a tourist there is nothing.
being srttled makes a huge difference
History buff? Corregidor island might work for you.

Go look for burried treasure.
Not even kidding, during WWII the Japs hid a ton of gold in the jungle, should be a good rpg quest for you.
