Grew up in a rural area in Australia, cash in hand is the norm unless you're working for a corporation. Find a small cafe or grocery store and you'll likely be paid cash for part time work although it will probably be less than minimum wage. Don't expect to get anything from the government though.

That's how farmers in America get illegal immigrants to work for them.

They claim that they can't find willing American labor, but I love in a rural town and I never see farmers posting open positions or trying to recruit workers in any other way that Americans would ever ecounter though, I guess they still expect job info to be passed by word of mouth among hobos riding the rails or something. The problem is the farmers are unwilling to try anything new, and it's easier for them not to so they won't even bother trying.

If this is the way it works in Australia as well I guess you'll just have to go knock on doors. They have a site called GumTree which is like Aussie Craigslist, but if they're like Americans no relevant ads will be there.

I really wanted to ask because half of people were telling that cashie jobs are super difficult to find on tourist visa and the other half were saying that it's easy

I recently spent some time in Australia on a work-holiday and while I didn't have to resort to this I met people who have. It's very easy to get jobs like that but the jobs themselves will not be good and your wage will be awful for Australia. So my roommate in Melbourne worked for $14 an hour where the minimum wage should have been $20 for him. He did get food as well on top of his wage though so he was pretty alright with that especially since he was 18 and didn't have any previous skills/knowledge to get better jobs.

Most hostels will employ backpackers on work holiday visas so it will be difficult to get jobs which pay cash in hand. You will be able to find places that offer woofing everywhere.

you're just under-cutting our minimum wages in regional areas where youth unemployment is a growing issue

unfortunately autocorrect is default US spelling, even when you change it to UK English you often get US spellings.

I'm not sure whether or not france gets subsidized childcare or not to be honest, my point does not have a need for childcare workers; and foreigners wouldn't meet our study requirements anyway
