is the philippines dangerous right now? is there a list of areas affected eother by civil war, kidnappings, or vigilante violence? (or gang activity masquerading as vigilantes)
not making a poliyical statement. i just wanna know if cops are gonna shake me down or if gang members are gonna plant shit on me for a reward. i plan on bring 100% squeaky clean, but sometimes there are just bad times to visit
anyone happen to know?
i guess i was interested in palawan, cebu, and the visayas.
but i heard luzon is a hotbed for kidnappings even though it is mostly christian

Had a co-worker recently come back from a mission trip in and around Cebu. Came back completely fine and with only good things to say.

Not sure if dangerous, but you will get robbed easily there. They dont even just rob tourists, they will rob their own countrymen traveling around the country on vacation alongside the police.
