I've been living and travelling around Europe for three years now, Paris is my least favourite city by far, nice architecture but it's a dirty, immigrant ruined unsafe shit hole. Don't bother going, it's already ruined.
>>

where did you go ? for real ? arrondissement 1 through 16 are as safe as you can get. 17 through 20 are less okay but there is literally nothing to see there for a tourist
>>
>>1274600
I stayed in la villette, it's not safe at all, it's alot dirtier than London, Berlin and prague in my opinion. Never recommend Paris to anyone, worst city in Europe. French should be ashamed of letting an evidently once great city, become such a shit hole.
>>
>>1274570
>ruined by eastern europe shit-tier immigrants
Nice try, negro. Not even Eastern Europeans will migrate to Paris anymore. It's all African. I live in an Eastern European neighborhood for school, never had a problem with them.
>>
Paris is the indisputable major city shithole of Europe, It was a dump 10 years ago, don't wanna know what it reeks like now. Brussels might be worse but at least doesn't pretend to be high classy like Paris with it's shit prices.

Not sure why people think Berlin is dirty, that city is suprisingly decent for a major city in my experience.
>>
>rewarding white genocide with tourism revenue

no thanks
>>
>>1274603
La Villette is in 19th arrondissement though.
I don't get your hate for Paris, honestly. There are shitty places, like in any big cities. Did you go to Les Tuileries ? Parc Monceau ? Did you visit Le Grand Palais ? Did you hang out in La Rue des Rosiers ? You stayed in one of the shittiest part of the city and then you say that the whole lot is a shithole. You sound awfully American.

>>1274605
Go to Paris for real. I admit there are neighbourhoods that are swarmed by the mass subsaharian immigration, but most of the city is still white and bourgeois, because a 25 square meters flat in Montparnasse cost 800€/month

>>1274630
Paris has the same problems every major european city has. Memeing them ad nauseam isn't funny nor productive.
>>
>>1274676
I went to all those places, I'm telling you, it's a shit hole, it's ruined which is a shame because it had the potential to be great.

I'm Australian and live in London, been to over 30 countries, in my opinion, Paris is the worst city. I'm actually giving France another go, by visiting Bordeoux next weekend.
>>
You don't even have to use Paris to fly into the country anymore. Boston to Gatwick, Gatwick to Beauvais and I can freely enjoy France like a normal person for half than it used to cost to fly direct to CDG.

Hopefully France one day gets their shit together and kicks this trash out, of their capital, but the rest of the country is as white as it's ever been.
>>
>>1274944
>the rest of the country is as white as it's ever been
wew lad, you might wanna slow down here
Ireland is white. France hasn't been for the past century, what with the algerian war and other shit. I don't mind multiculturality at all but saying the rest of France is white just shows you haven't been out of Paris

100% agree, Paris is a shithole and i had written all of france off for a long time due to that.

it stinks like piss and everything is incredibly grimey and loud. terrible.
>>
>>1274432
What are your thoughts on Nice?
>>
>>1274918
That's simply not true. I'm French, 22, been living in Paris suburbs my entire life, was in Paris almost every weekend from 5 to 18 (then moved out for studies)
Paris is no less safe or dirty than it was 15 years ago or even 50 years ago. Of course Montmartre or St-Ouen don't look the same anymore, but heh, Paris is a living city, not a museum for foreigners to visit. The majority of the city is still exceptionally beautiful, and calling it a shithole denotes an objective lack of historical and cultural perspective.

>>1274946
Except for some neighborhoodsort of Marseille, Lyon, Grenoble, Lille and Paris there virtually isn't any place where white French are outnumbered by French of non-white heritage.
The "grand remplacement" alt-right meme only works in those densely populated areas, anywhere else it's pure cherry-picking
>>
>>1275117
>historical and cultural perspective
which perspective is that anon? that it wasn't always a shithole?
>>
>>1275117
Well if you've lived there your whole life you obviously don't realise how much better other cities are. I Always visit places with an open mind to 'historical and cultural perspective'. What I'm saying is the architecture of the place shows it once was beautiful and I don't mind the french, however now it is kebab shops, immigrants camping on streets, dirty, run down, with a depressed, slum feel to it. The whole place just feels soul less. I feel sorry for you, having lived in such a depressing place your whole life.
>>
On our quest to score some weed we where told to go to Ville De Bobigny. It was quite funny to see 4 white tourists walking around the area and the smile on the local teenagers faces ones we mentioned the word `weed`. And they kindly pointed out the flat we had to go too. Seriously i loved the city, beautiful women and not afraid to flirt.
Got fucking fondled by a frenchmen in a packed metro though which was very weird.

The problem with them isn't because they're black.

I've been to American cities like Atlanta and didn't have a problem with black people there. They were just normal people going about their business in a region they've lived for hundreds of years.

Paris has thousands of recently arrived Africans who live on the street. They sleep, beg and defecate in public. It's not racial, I don't think France should bring in hundreds of thousands of Moldavians either.
>>

It still is. I don't understand your argument. Opera Garnier is still standing, as beautiful as it was when they built it. Same for Arc de Triomphe, or Le Musée d'Histoire Naturelle.

>kebab shops, immigrants camping on streets
Again it's not true. The vast majority of the city isn't like that at all, and you know it.

I don't know what to say anymore, it seems like you had a really bad experience when visiting, but the city isn't anywhere near the state you are describing

Went to Paris a few years ago. Stayed in St. Germain, didnt see too many niggers or muslims. Only ones I saw were running around Eiffel Tower. The Orsay was phenomenal, highly recommend going, Louvre was too crowded to appreciate, and seeing 10000 paintings of the baby Jesus with Virgin Mary gets tiring. St. Michel has some nice cafes that aren't too expensive. Not sure if where I stayed had anything to do with how much I loved Paris, friends let me stay in an extra apartment they had, felt more like I was part of the neighborhood than going as a tourist.

Paris, to non-Europeans, is fantastic.
Old buildings, pretty architecture, Eiffel Tower.

To Europeans it's just another dirty capital with too many shitskins.
>>
>>1276571
The work of the French monarchy and Empire on Paris' style actually influenced the architecture and overall appearance of a lot of other European capitals. So to say it's just another city isn't very correct.

I visited Europe 5 years ago. I remember speaking with my mother on the phone and marveling at how immaculately clean London seemed.

>>1274432
Geez. You think Lauren Southern might have an agenda ?
She filmed a couple of streets in the historically immigrant 18th arrondissement neighborhood, the cheapest part of the city and called it a day?
This is some disingenuous shit.
Paris is a 12million+ metro area. attracting people from all over the world. You can't just showcase what it's like with a 5 minute clip in a black neighborhood.
There is diversity there for sure but no more than you would find in any of the biggest western cities like London, NY or LA.

I guess the reason people are so appalled when they find out Paris is multicultural is because Paris has always been wrongly portrayed as this touristy, romantic village-like theme park with mimes and rude waiters in the media.
>>
Paris is a beautiful city; been twice in the past year. Literally migrants aren't a problem if you stay out of the dodgy outskirts and places like Saint-Denis. I guarantee that the people shit-talking Paris in this thread have either never been or stayed in some dirt-cheap hostel in the 18th arrondissement and thought 'ew there are ethnic people in this bakery'.

Of course, our country is both extremely overrated and underrated at the same time and it's annoying.
It's overrated because everyone expects Paris to be some kind of magical open air museum where people abide to your wishes because tourism money, and think it represents the whole country. When it's actually a 12 million people urban area where peopel have daily lives that have nothing to do with tourists, and aren't living in Disneyland
But it's also underrated because of the shadows some places like Paris and the Riviera cast over the other region that are incredibly diverse in all aspects. Fucking nobody outside of France has heard about the Massif Central for instance despite its huge touristy potential. And I'm ok with this because I don't want any more dumdum yankees fucking shit up but it's still annoying.
Nobody thinks the UK stops at London, but for some reason France seems to be defined by its capital

When I was in Russia, the most violent event I noticed was a taxi driver making me pay 60€ to go from airport to city-center... You'll be fine as long as - as in every other big city - you don't go in the bad neighbourhoods.
As for accomodation, go Couchsurfing or AirBnB. Don't be afraid to go a little bit further from city center, the métro (subway system) is actually pretty convenient.

Enjoying travel is a good argument against multiculturalism. If you enjoy different culture and peoples, you shouldn't chuck them all into a blender; you keep them separate, unique and distinct.

But most people understand that generally, its only White peoples they want to see disappear. Lets face it, this isn't happening (at least so forcibly and inorganically) in non-Western nations.

To be honest, I'm not sure there are many people who wouldn't enjoy African, Asian or Arab cultures if they we're experiencing them abroad in the appropriate region and countries. In fact, if we experienced other people like that, instead of them being forced into our own neighborhoods, you'd probably see a lot less animosity. You might support mass immigration for whatever reason, okay, but you can't get annoyed when other people inevitably dislike it. Its destroying history, tradition, culture, community and families; why wouldn't some people be against that? Especially when we could do much more effective things instead like helping people in their own region or country, making the World a better place, not making our own countries third world.

not pol here, but you just played yourself:

directly from the UN. definition of genocide:
"any of the following acts...deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group..."

and proof of that happening:

again, directly from the UN:
"United Nations projections indicate that over the next 50 years, the populations of virtually all countries of Europe as well as Japan will face population decline and population ageing. The new challenges of declining and ageing populations will require comprehensive reassessments of many established policies and programmes, including those relating to international migration.

Focusing on these two striking and critical population trends, the report considers replacement migration"
http://www.un.org/esa/population/publications/migration/migration.htm

TL;DR promoting birth control to whites, then forced integration to "replace" their population with migrants. Tell me how that isn't an "act designed to prevent birth WITHIN a group" (key word: WITHIN)

it is clear as day and only people who hate whites or are desperate to virtue signal would deny it at this point

Paris is pretty much the most iconic travel destination in human history. One could argue that ANYTHING which happens in or to Paris has an impact and relevance to tourism and travel in some way.

But were not just talking about 'anything', we're talking about massive demographic and cultural changes - Two of the main reasons people travel, to experience different peoples and cultures.

The peoples and culture of Paris is quickly changing from what defines it and what has defined the city as a tourism mecca for centuries. Whether that's good or bad in your opinion is irrelevant.

That is the heart of /trv/ and honestly, it sounds like you're being the political one by dismissing the issue and trying to get the thread deleted. Clearly the mods know better, credit to them.

Firstly, could you describe this Parisian culture and identity you are talking about ? The older one, supposedly disappearing, and the one replacing it please.

Secondly, how surprising is it that the capital city of such a dynamic country changed over the course of, as you said yourself, centuries ? As previous posters have pointed, I have the feeling that most foreigners think about Paris as this still image, forever crystallizing their preconceived and stereotypical vision of France and the French people. Paris is growing and changing everyday, it's the political, economical and cultural capital of France, I can't understand how it wouldn't change over time, both physically and culturally.
The most common arguments presented supporting this idea of a cultural violation are about the current state of St-Ouen/Clignancourt or Montmartre, and what can I say ? Yes both of these places have lost some of their charm, but what could have been done to avoid that ? You can't stop a city from evolving, and as you said
>Whether that's good or bad in your opinion is irrelevant.

In closing, I'd say that Paris is objectively still one of the most beautiful city in the world, incredibly dynamic and interesting. Saying the opposite, based on the idea that Paris is an open-air museum, is almost insulting to the French culture.

Paris has always been White and European. Changing into a negro-islamic failed city is neither dynamic nor interesting.

>>1279460
Paris is still white and European

If you're an european student between the age of 18 and 25 it's better to bite the bullet and stay in line, as you won't pay an entry fare. You still need to get a ticket at the counter tho if I recall correctly

I went to Paris in 2008.

I wasn't browsing 4chan back then, I was a 100% centrist guy, pro-immigration, pro-liberal democracy, so none of what I am about to say stems from right-wing views.

The culture shock I got from seeing blacks and Arabs were the MAJORITY, on the RER metro, on the streets and on the parks and plazas was the GREATEST CULTURE SHOCK in my life.

I expected Paris to be the beautiful, cultured, fashionable capital we have been accustomed to seeing in movies and TV shows. The Paris that existed until the 1990s. The beautiful heart of European art and architecture.

Instead, it was a dirty city, with yes, beautiful buildings, but culturally I felt like a total alien. There was more Arabic being spoken on the metro than French. There were more kebab shops than patisseries. There were, Arab women all clad in full-body black veils walking next to the Eiffel Tower.

I had NO FUCKING IDEA it was going to be like that.
And it really changed me. I realized these people would never assimilate.
They were too many of them to assimilate. They didn't give a fuck about the culture that surrounded them. And they certainly did NOT BELONG there with their Islamic chanting and their veils.

In my country Paris is regarded as a beacon of culture and civilization. I had no idea it had decayed so much. This is not talked about in the media. I returned with a sense of disgust and a new appeciation for the importance of border controls.

And this was almost 10 years ago. Before the Syrian refugee crisis.
I can't even fathom to imagine what it looks like now.
I can't believe you Frenchfags allowed your country to decay so much.

I thought it was just my countrymen that were retarded and careless about taking care of your history and culture, but I guess it's worldwide.

This too.
Fuck the modern world, fuck those thousands of chink tourists gathered around the Mona Lisa like a bunch of ants swarming on a dropped toast.

I wanted to appreciate the artworks but half of them were blocked by the sight of retarded tourists taking photos instead of actually LOOKING AT THE ART that was around them.

Why are people in Paris so rude? I'm Japanese and went to a restaurant. The staff was really really unpolite and not respectful. Also he put me in the most ugly area of the restaurant and said that this is the corner for Asians. Why so racist?

If I go to rural France, are people friendly there?

France has one of the best developed tourist industries in the world; you'll be fine. Learn a few basic phrases and always greet people in French before apologizing and switching to English.
>>
>>1279737
I visited in 2006 and had the same experience, I don't think post 1990 Paris is worth visiting.

Sorry if this sounds too much like Midnight in Paris, but imagine Paris, in the rain, in the 1930s and with no Arabic spoken. It must have been amazing.

What's the best tourist card / pass for Paris? Something that's not too pricey but is useful.
>>
>>1281893
Did you visit in 1990? No? Then fuck off back to /pol/. You probably didn't even visit in 2006 and are just spouting memes.
>>
>>1282302
The best tourist card is your ID if you are an European resident aged less than 26. Almost all museums will be free
For transport, just get a week-pass (prolly like 25€ for Paris + Suburbs ? insanely cheap considering back and forth to the suburbs is ~12€)
If you are not an European student aged less than 26 then whatever meme pass (ParisPass) will do, even though it's complete shit and you're retarded if you buy it.
