I love in Missouri and it's going directly over me
Heading down to Tennessee with a few friends to camp for a few days and watch it. Can't wait.

Moving to NM from Europe 3 days before, talk about convenient timing
australian here, worked it into my american road trip next month along with a rocket launch in california.
will be in oregon on the 21st, where should i watch the eclipse from?, and will local accommodation be booked out early? (was planning on just finding a motel that night).

Accommodation on the path of totality was booked out nine months ago, at least for any place that isn't perpetually cloudy.

booking.com still shows plenty of available motels in portland.

Portland isn't on the path of totality, but it isn't very far off.
Driving from Los Angeles to Idaho. Staying at some really rad airbnbs. I'm super excited.
My cousin has a cabin that's basically dead center under the path of totality. Sadly I can't make it, as it's like two days after I get back from Japan.
looks like i'm going to nashville.
welder's goggles should be sufficient to look directly at it and filter it for pictures on my phone?

NASA says #14 welder's glass should be safe. If you don't already have that, you can get fairly inexpensive aluminized mylar glasses designed specifically for viewing the sun.

Fuck I want to watch a rocket launch
I was in Florida when a SpaceX rocket exploded but I didn't hear about it until afterwards
