australian here, i want to take a west coast U.S driving holiday for 3 - 4 weeks.
was thinking of flying to seattle, staying in the city for a few nights then renting a car and slowly making my way down to los angeles and then to vegas, and then maybe colorado for the last week or so with a detour through the grand canyon.. is this a good plan?
i will be staying at motels on the road and probably a nice hotel for a few nights each in seattle, vegas and denver or something,.
is the weather okay during the next month or so?
i have visited american cities before, but this time i want to drive in rural areas and visit small towns, etc.
what is the best way to book flights, hotel, car hire, etc? is flight center ok?
Having moved from Seattle for grad school to Utah, all I have to say is that the Southwest is going to be hotter than hell. I'd easily expect 40° weather. Be prepared to drive as well! It's a barren wasteland in these parts
