whats the best way to secure your home if you are planning to travel for a month?
i live in probably one of the worst meth neighborhoods in my country and it feels like someone will almost certainly try to break in when they realize i am gone.
i will be removing or booby trapping all valuables and i have full time monitored alarm system, but the addicts in this area are extremely desperate and the police have a pathetic response time.
i started by gluing razor blades onto strategic areas on my 50 inch TV and motorcycle so any thief will hopefully cut themselves and leave DNA, will do the same with my car seat, handbrake lever, etc before i leave.. any other tips?.

I have a house is a rural area. I have a couple lights on timers that will come on during the night. Also buy a real or fake security camera to put outside. I'm not sure if its the most effective thing but I feel it deters at least some of the tweakers.
