I just spent six weeks going around Spain, thought I'd rank the cities I went to.
I went with my girlfriend, we are mid 20s and like eating, drinking, cultural stuff & the beach. Spain is full of these things so we understandably loved it.
GOD TIER
Bilbao
San Sebastian
Cadiz
Valencia
(beautiful cities with amazing food, great vibes, shit to see & do, great beaches. the Basque country is the best part of Spain).
DEMI GOD TIER
Madrid (would be god tier if wasn't so fucking hot or it had a beach. I love Madrid but 38°c 8 hours a day is too much )
GREAT TIER
Seville (really nice place but we ran out of stuff to do, nightlife was a bit shit)
Barcelona (it's fun and all, ticks the boxes but it's a bit of a tourist trap. I've been a few times and I'm always underwhelmed)
Cordoba (Mezquita is GOAT, good for a day but no more)
GOOD TIER
Granada (it's kind of ugly, free food is nice but not that tasty, Alhambra is overrated)

Tell me about Cadiz, what's so nice about it? Isn't it just another andalucian beach town?
Also, have you been to Malaga? I found the food+nightlife there to be pretty good, plus they have awesome beaches, plus it's not overrun by tourists like Sevilla.

we considered it but thought it might be overrun by british tourists so scrapped it
how many andalucian beach cities are there? apart from malaga they're mostly inland
cadiz is quite compact, really pretty and just has a nice feel about it. it's also got the best seafood i've ever eaten.
