couchsurf/airbnb, walk as much as possible for transportation, break down funds to weekly expenditures and count your cash as best as you can

okay ill look into that.
is couch surfing easy to obtain? should i be verified to expect to get anything?
what happens if i run out?
This is the England flag

are you retarded? book hostels, airbnb. even better, hit up tinder -- not difficult to find people to stay with.
I'll grab a pint with you if you are near me providing you aren't a massive autist.

pound is weak so you should be all right if you don't spend money like crazy
you'll have to live up north where everything is cheaper
you won't get far at all in London

$1000 is very little to live for a month in the uk when you'll need to pay for a somewhere to sleep and feed yourself and then pay for entertainment/activities and transport...
Recommend staying hostels only and buying supermarket food, drinking the own brand supermarket beer/wine/spirits if planning a night out and booking long distance travel online and in advance if you intend to travel around the country...
As others have said your money will tend to go further outside of london and the further north you are (outside of major cities)... it would still be 'doable' in london however you would have to be extremely strict with yourself

Agreed.
However, unless you couch surf that money's not going to go far in London. Almost all of it could get gobbled up on accommodation alone...
just go somewhere up north and rent a room for £400
food will be 150ish fine
buses are cheaper than trains
easy

if shit hits the fan and you run out of money go to a foodbank and contact your embassy
really it's impossible to starve or w/e in the EU, worst comes to worst you might have to sleep rough a few nights (which is fine in the summer)
