This is why it's a bad idea. Chances are you won't find travel as fun as you had imagined and you'll be stuck waiting for your return flight after wasting tons of time and money on tickets and paperwork. Especially since your first trip would be quite ambitious.
But then again, it might be a blast. As for the idea itself, all that matters is whether you think it's fun, even if most would find it retarded.

Yes, it's possible OP, but don't be so obtuse. You 100% know that this is a silly idea for a first-time traveler, you just want to do it to prove something to yourself or someone else. You don't want to put in the time it takes to work up to that level, so you just grab a mouthful, choke or barely swallow it, then pat yourself on the back for it.

In short, it's obviously over-ambitious. And don't take that as a compliment, I mean it in a "he's too stupid to know any better" kind of way.

Go on a couple shorter, more approachable trips first. Be sensible. You'll enjoy it more when you have the experience points to enjoy it at all, rather than slog from location to location, asking for help or aimlessly wandering, thinking "Well I'm here, and it looks just as shitty as it did in that picture. Traveling sucks"

That seems like a pretty bad idea. I want to visit really remote frozen hellscapes too, but I'm thinking of probably starting with Alaska or Canada so at least the people speak English. I've also always wanted to see Lake Baikal too, though.

Its not to prove anything. I got obsessed with it when I went to china last year (OK I lied, I have traveled some), and flying over these areas really intrigued me. miles and miles of just mountains and rivers with no sign of life at all.

Now I obsessively look at this area on google earth and the autonomous okrugs are just calling to me. Partly for the scenery but also partly for the postapocalyptic feel of abandoned mining towns and factories.
