You got to see Sagrada Familia. You won't see any architecture like it. And it doesn't feel too crowded once inside.

Black Madonna is worth the trip too. Not so much the church but the scenery around it and the hike up the surrounding area. Tibidabo will feel cheap and boring after that.

Las Ramblas was just kinda annoying. The prostitutes come out at night and they are fugly.
Most of the food near the touristy areas is shit because they don't need to be good to get customers.

Do see Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and other modernist stuff even if there are many tourists. It's a unique style of architecture. You should also check out Montjuic.

To see the skyline you should go and check out Barcelona's bunkers (from the civil war), used to be a shithole of a place but now is pretty OK (just don't go there at dark, some junkies still)

Haven't been to all of them but I particularly recommend Moritz Factory and Catalluna. You should also try 'Cap i pota' (pork's nose and feet) and croquettes at Can Codina.

As others comment, hiking in Montserrat, where the Black Madonna, is pretty nice, although I think that the Black Madonna itself is shit.

I've heard lately you've got to book beforehand in order to visit the most famous places, because of terrorism or something. Is this true?

Get a metro train out to the north of the city and go to the bunkers and watch the sun set. great atmosphere and locals too

for booze, go to bar marsella. it's this old run down absinthe bar that doesn't look like its been renovated since the civil war. it's seems to open real late and doesn't advertise itself as a bar so it's pretty hard to find

Sagrada Familia needs to be booked in advance because of its popularity, unless you want to wait in line for 2+ hours. Park Guell possibly as well.
