What are your favorite places in Europe?
It doesn't matter if they are touristy or hardly known. I'm just curious.
I really enjoyed Crete.. Also Calabria Italy..

Why?

Most of them are pretty much unknown, rather small/rural places and have tourism that is still pretty much from the region or neighbouring countries
Meran, Südtirol, Italy
>hiking, food, nature, all year destination
Vieste, Foggia, Italy
>beach, comfy city, a great place to relax, pic related
Colmar, Alsace, France
>very quiet, awesome food, beautiful nature
Bad Klein Kirchheim, Kärnten, Austria
great thermal baths, good hikes/MTB trails in summer and great slopes to ski in winter
Bregenz, Vorarlberg, Austria
comfy city, the Bregenzer Festspiele on their openair stage are always worth a visit, great food
I could list many more but oh well...

>Munich during Oktoberfest
anything is better than Munich during Oktoberfest m8.
>overpriced beer, drunken retards everywhere
Just go to a beerfest in any other small city/town in bavaria to enjoy the Bierzelt culture.
Lake Peipus is incredibly underappreciated.
Best places i've been are:
for medieval architecture: Rouen, France
for wildlife: Scottish borders
for nature aesthetics: Lech Valley, Austria

Nah, beer festivals in other places are as good, and I usually go with a bunch of friends so we always have a blast, we've gone to other beer festivals, and they are fun, but it's wearing a lederhosen and getting fucked 3 ways from sun down that makes it great, plus all my friends are normies who could give a shit less about anything
But it's fun, and I guess it would suck to someone without a group to fuck around with

It's a historical city, that's it, nothing else good about it other than the history
>>1245859
Well I might be biased as I'm from Munich and saw it decline from this is fun, to this is still tolerable down to why even bother.
I mean sure it's fun to go there with friends and get shitfaced but you can do that anywhere else too.

True, and we do, but I'm from New Orleans and stay as far away from the French quarter as I can on Mardi Gras, so I get it

Alsace is better in Easter
Been to different parts of Luxembourg now, and i've taken quite a liking to it.
Lots of hiking and mountainbiking can be done at a reasonable level.
Also a lot of interesting history to look into.
Since the country is so small compared to other countries i can't really name one town.
