I would plan to rest in Tucson, it's cheap, and that I 10 W drive is dangerous just because of how boring the road is. I drove from PHX to Laredo in one go and full out nodded off a couple of times. Not good.

I live in SW GA, and travel to Florida often. It's rough. About 8 hours or more to any civilization outside the state. Only civilization inside the state at that range are Tallahassee and Jacksonville.
