Hi all,
Planning on visiting Reykjavic in June for 6 days with cousin.
Any recommendations for places to visit during the stay, especially orientated to food and drink :)
Also regarding sleeping arrangements, what would be the best option for just a room? Maybe airbnb?
Thanks
I'm heading in june as well. I would do a hotel instead of AirBnB because AirBnB kinda fucks with locals. Either way it will be a little pricey in reykjavik so might as well go with hotel.
Rent a car
Drive to North (about 1-3 hours depends on how far round you go)
See better Northern Lights,
See Whales cheaper than near the capital
Ride Tiny horses
Visit the other Blue Lagoon. I forget what it's called, but it's cheaper and less crowded.
See some amazing waterfall (Largest in Europe I think)
Maybe do a trek to the big ass volcano in the middle.

Watch the episode of Adam Richman's show Secret Eats which covers Iceland, I was suprised at how food-hipstery the place is. Besides that it looks completely fucking boring.

Good luck with the Northern Lights in June. There is at most about 4 hours between sunset and sunrise, and the sun never drops very far below the horizon. You need darkness to see the Northern Lights.
