Yeah I know, I always enjoy the small towns I find on my way to certain areas.

I've always liked Kingston. it has some nice old architecture and some cool stuff in it.

but to give a better answer I guess I would have to ask what you're looking for in a city that you would define as "interesting"

Well right now I'm thinking about going to Tobermory, it's about 3 hours from me and from what I'm reading it has some cool natural sights

Killarney Provincial park is nice too. They probably have the closest things to mountains within a decent drive on Toronto
