What do you reckon the price will be?
Would you fly cattle class for 8 hours?

Yes, who cares?

Sure, it won't be any more cramped or anything than the other airlines in economy, it'll just be without the free food/blanket which I can live without if the price is good enough. This has become possible because the new Boeing 737 MAX is so fuel efficient that budget flights are finally viable, not because they've found some new way to cut costs and make it considerably more horrible than current transatlantic flights.

I doubt Ryanair will be flying new planes

If it's really, really cheap, sure. I mostly fly coach anyway, and an eight hour flight is maybe the fourth-longest I have done (I do a lot of flying from the West Coast to Asia, for which 10-12 hour legs are common, often followed by a connection and another 2-6 hours in flight; a direct flight to DXB is something like 16 hours). I'd miss the free booze, but have paid for hooch before and will do it again.
But as I live in San Francisco, I don't think these routes are likely to be competitive for me--Norwegian flies here but it's not noticeably cheaper than the non-discount fares.
